Northern Berkshire Transition

People like you who are interested in strengthening the resilience of our region

Hi,

I'm a new member and had a question about the guidelines for which kinds of events are ok to post. There are two events coming up - one costs money and I didn't know if that was ok to post, but it's related to transitioning to a new future -- it's a Joanna Macy-inspired workshop at Starseed Healing Sanctuary in Savoy next Saturday, July 28. The second event is activism in another state but related to transitioning off fossil fuels. We're carpooling from Savoy to go up to Burlington, VT on July 29 for the action to raise awareness about stopping the New England Tar Sands Pipeline.

So, before I post either of those, I wanted to check if those events meet the guidelines for events that are ok to post on NBT.

Thanks,

Kerry Thompson

Hi Kerry,

I see no issue with the events you wish to post. Events which have a cost should just clearly identify what the fees are. If an event is Free, this too should be identified so there iare no questions,

We have no formal guidelines for the subject matter of postings other than it should be related to the vision of Transition.  Energy, Community, Transportation, Local Food, Eco Resources, Sustainability etc. Things which contribute to making a more sustainable and happier future for us all. Any posting which are inappropriate will be removed.

Most (99%) of the event postings you will find here are events happening locally, Berkshires, Northern Berkshires, Pioneer Valley, Bennington and Stamford Vermont.  But relevant events are worth posting if not for any other reasons than to bring awareness of an issue, convey that others are working on similar goals, or to stimulate local action on an issue.

POSTING For the event image that is displayed with the event, it is best if it is a jpg and sized 400x400 pixels. Other images can be posted within the event and display best if the width is limited to 440 pixels.

If you have any trouble posting events, please let us know.

Thanks for your contribution. Live Well.
