 nald Campbell Raised in Bennington on the family property known as Fur
 nace Grove, Donald spent much of his youth at the Merck Forest where h
 is father worked.  Graduating from Williams College in 1984, he worke
 d briefly at the U.S. Forest Service and The Land Concern - forestry a
 nd forest investments company in Greenfield, MA. - and spent three yea
 rs in the maple industry working for David Marvin’s Butternut Mounta
 in Farm. Donald joined Shelburne Farms in 1989, later becoming the Far
 m’s Director of Agricultural Education, dividing his time between ed
 ucation, public programming, cheese marketing, management and agricult
 ure.  In 2002 Donald, with his wife Margaret and their two daughters,
  returned to Bennington to take on the family property and to become t
 he Southwest Regional Director for the Vermont Land Trust.  Donald is
  an original board member of the Walloomsac Farmer’s Market and a me
