Donald Campbell Raised in Bennington on the family property known as Furnace Grove, Donald spent much of his youth at the Merck Forest where his father worked.  Graduating from Williams College in 1984, he worked briefly at the U.S. Forest Service and The Land Concern - forestry and forest investments company in Greenfield, MA. - and spent three years in the maple industry working for David Marvin’s Butternut Mountain Farm. Donald joined Shelburne Farms in 1989, later becoming the Farm’s Director of Agricultural Education, dividing his time between education, public programming, cheese marketing, management and agriculture.  In 2002 Donald, with his wife Margaret and their two daughters, returned to Bennington to take on the family property and to become the Southwest Regional Director for the Vermont Land Trust.  Donald is an original board member of the Walloomsac Farmer’s Market and a member of the Bennington Planning Commission.
